Peter Vastola’s Photography Exhibit Tonight!

Drop in at the Blue Room, right after church, on Sunday, April 19, to see Peter Vastola’s photographic exhibit, In One Neighborhood.
The neighborhood is Old North, and the black-and-white photographs, taken mostly in the 1980s and the first decade of the new century, feature a number of faces you will recognize. The best reason to see these pictures, though, is that they really are beautiful—serious work by a serious artist.
A number of our fellows at Grace & Peace live, or have lived in, Old North. Many of them were involved in the founding there, in 1978, of Murphy-Blair Community Church, which existed, as a mission church, until 1990. Peter, as one of them, presents a partial, and lively, record of their life
together.

“IN ONE NEIGHBORHOOD: Peter’s pictures, past and present.”
Photographer: Peter Vastola
Location: Grace & Peace Fellowship, Blue Room
Date: Sunday, April 19, 2009
Opening reception: 12:30PM to 3:00PM
