The Lord has brought us a Thursday night Staff
person and we are thankful! He is a seminarian and
if you'd like to work with him, just sign up to be a
Thursday night volunteer!

With only 12 days to go until we open the shelter for
this season on November 10, we are in need of
several (about 5 per month) additional volunteers,
with a slight preference toward women. These
workers can serve 6-10 p.m. or overnight, primarily
on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. No
experience is needed, but overnight workers must be
Adult Christians and we strongly urge new
volunteers to come to Shelter training on November
7, 2009 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. To inquire or sign up
please contact Sarah Taylor, Volunteer Coordinator,
at wintershelter1@gmail.com or 314-960-7248.
Thanks for considering this chance to serve the poor
with us!

Shelter Training is November 7, 2009 from 9-3 and
includes lunch. Please come to the whole day if
you've never been before. If you've been trained in
the past or worked a great deal in the shelter before,
we urge you to come for 1/2 the day or so (12:45-
3). I am eager to address any questions you may
have: g raceandpeace1@sbcglobal.net or 314-367-
8959, x 21.- Melody Perkins, Shelter Team Leader
