Capital Campaign
For the Next 100 Years...
For almost forty years, Grace & Peace Fellowship has declared not only God's faithfulness and goodness, but also his power: power evident in his mighty acts.
Our history is a testimony to that living God: He has given us courage to be the face of Christ to our neighbors. He gave us the means to acquire the storefront space on Kingsbury Avenue; to found Cornerstone, a low-income urban housing ministry still going strong; and to purchase our current building, opening in its basement the women's Winter Shelter.
Our building at Delmar and Clara, 100 years old this year, is our latest challenge -- and another marvelous opportunity to see God work. The task before us is urgent. Roof repairs, electrical upgrades, fire sprinklers, a major kitchen overhaul, handicap ramps, and lead paint removal head a long list of necessary renovations. Our call, as always, is to act in faith.
For the next 100 years: our desire, at this, its centennial year, is to renew our beautiful old building, in order to pass it on to those who follow. Our capital campaign and the renovations we envision are, for us, acts not only of faith, but of worship: in the words of Psalm 145, one generation will praise the Lord's works to another.
