Meetings Discontinued

It is with sadness that our Celebrate Recovery team announces that we will no longer have regular CR meetings on Sunday nights. We came to this decision because, at the present time and for various reasons, we do not have a sufficient number of leaders to continue.

December 11th will be our last regular meeting.

We will continue to have an adapted form of our men's & women's Open Share groups until further notice. We will continue to have these meetings until such time that our listing is removed from the national Celebrate Recovery website and we no longer have newcomers showing up who have found us on the web.

Our sadness, however, is mixed with anticipation because some of us will be joining with the current effort of the First Evangelical Free Church of St Louis County and The Rock Church of St Louis to combine CR meetings and create a larger St Louis area-wide meeting on Friday nights.

We continue to believe there is a need for the ministry of CR in our local churches because we know there are more people sitting in the pews each week with destructive "hurts, habits, and hang-ups" than we sometimes like to imagine. Those of us in CR are some these people. But we also have witnessed the healing power of our Lord through CR, which is really just the daily application of the gospel to our struggles with sin, Struggles that rob us of the freedom, joy, and peace that our Lord graciously offers to all who put their trust in Him.

Proverbs 3: 5-8

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.
This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. (this is recovery from our "hurts, habits, & hang-ups)

His will be done.
