Who We Are
From the start, we have aimed to be a community of worship.
We come as broken people before a glorious, forgiving God, the Son who died for our sins, and the Spirit who renews us. Our eclectic music — a joyful mix of styles ranging from ancient to modern, classical to folk to gospel — reflects our cosmopolitan, multiracial environment. We welcome you to visit and share in community with us.
What We Believe
Our Mission
Guided by the Holy Spirit and God's Word, we strive to know Jesus and make Him known through worship, discipleship, and acts of love.
Our Vision
We long to be a church community of Equipped Disciples, Enthusiastic Worshipers and Embodied Witnesses.
In Ephesians 4:11-16, Paul presents a vision for the church to strive after, a vision that has its leaders “building up” the people of Christ to maturity, to look more and more like Christ. Although we will never be a perfect representation of Christ, Paul boldly calls us to strive for this vision.
-
What is Equipped Disciple?
An equipped disciple is a mature follower of Christ who responds to life’s Blessings and challenges with the character of Christ rather than from the sinful nature. Such a disciple lives as a living sacrifice—dying to personal idolatries and living for the glory of Christ and the good of others.
-
What is an Enthusiastic Worshiper?
The word enthusiasm has spiritual roots—referring to being filled with the Spirit, expressed in zeal and passion for Christ.
This is not a forced or manufactured excitement, but the genuine overflow of the Spirit of Christ dwelling in us and shaping us as we grow in Him.
We long to be a community marked by this Spirit-given enthusiasm, eagerly worshiping Christ and glorifying Him in everything we do.

What is an Embodied Witness?
As equipped disciples who are enthusiastic about Worshiping Jesus, we expect to bring the good news and love of Jesus to our community and world. Equipped with his word and spirit, we seek to truly embody the grace, truth, and love of Jesus to all those we encounter.
Our Core Values
Pastoral Care
We value a shepherd tending the flock, maintaining a relationship with members and guests, directing us to Jesus as our only hope and strength.
Community
We value sharing life, playing and working together, bearing one another’s burdens, and eating and praying together.
Service
We value serving our brothers, sisters, and neighbors.
Differences
We value the hard work of loving one another in the face of personal, political, and cultural differences.
Worship
We value participatory worship, liturgical structure, open congregational prayer and testimonies, focused always on Jesus.
Arts & Aesthetics
We value the role of visual and performing arts, bringing them into our public spaces to enrich worship and education.
Brokenness
We value honest recognition of our sin and brokenness, and our calling to seek and to practice healing.
Christian Liberty
We value freedom to enjoy what is true, good, and beautiful. We allow others liberty in this life, not holding others under undue law, while at the same time caring for the weaker brother.
Preaching and Teaching
We value expository preaching and culturally engaged teaching, shining the light of the Word of God on our lives today.
Work
We value vocational callings in all spheres of life, in and outside of the church, in both physical and mental labor.
Honoring the Weaker
We value the gifts and voices of every member God adds to our community.
