Youth Ministry
Vision | Our Youth Ministry exists to help our teens
enjoy the grace of God
while walking together behind Jesus
and embracing the world with the beauty of the gospel
Values | We value discipleship that is:
Gospel-centered | rather than simply pushing behavior modification, we want our kids to know the salvation that is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
STL-focused | we embrace the challenge of helping our teens love Jesus in our particular urban environment in Saint Louis
Family-integrated | we serve and equip parents, who are the primary disciplers of their children.
Relationally-driven | our leaders build relationships with students and practice “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
Communally-lived | we practice thick community and strive to do life together.
GAP Youth At-A-Glance
Sunday School (“Breakfast Club”)
9:15am-10:15am | Youth Room
This is a time for us to gather, sing together and to study the Scriptures.
Youth Group
6-8pm | Youth Room
We spend time eating & playing together, and then talk about Jesus and break out for small group discussion.
Relational Discipleship
Our youth ministry seeks to love students by surrounding them with caring believers and connecting them to the whole church. Sometimes, this may involve intentional discipleship relationships and Bible studies in “one on ones” or small group settings. Other times, this might involve less-formal “just for fun” relationship building activities for the whole group or specific parts of it. Often, this means simply having fun together.
Mission Trip
Each summer we go on a mission trip in order to grow in serving others, grow in our faith, and grow together. We also hope that these trips spark our interest in serving back home in St. Louis.
